Does everyone know what they are doing the last weekend of September? I do. BLUETILE'S TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY! Our big brother/best friend is turning ten years old and Fork and Spoon really wants to help them celebrate it properly.
THE ONLY TYPE OF ADVANCE TICKET WE ARE SELLING IS WEEKEND PASSES FOR $20. AND THEY GO ON SALE TODAY AT THE FORK AND SPOON STORE! NEXT WEEK TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT BLUETILE AND NEW BROOKLAND TAVERN.
You are probably now asking, “why would I buy a weekend pass that costs the same price as the door?” Well, because that is the only sure-fire way to guarantee a spot in the weekend of festivities. If we sell out BOTH NIGHTS in one swoop and you were holding out for one night, you are screwed and will miss it all and won't be tagged in ANY of your friends Facebook photos from that weekend. ANY. Oh, and each weekend pass is also redeemable at the show for a super-exclusive 4-way split 7″ featuring new music from Can't Kids, Those Lavender Whales, the Choir Quit, and Teen Suicide; a DVD of short skate videos submitted by friends from around the southeast; and a fun book of drawings and skate photos from a bunch of folks. $20 is the key to unlock a world of awesome. Just like the tickets, these things are pretty limited. SO DON'T BLOW IT. ORDER NOW!
Forgot what was happening that weekend? Here's a recap…
On September 28th, come by Bluetile for the pre-weekend-extravaganza sale. This will be your last chance to buy advance tickets for the New Brookland portion of the fun, as well as a wonderful opportunity to watch some skate videos and listen to the sweet sweet tunes of Sweet Tooth Nelson. The cover that night is FREE and the shindig begins at 8 pm.
On September 29th, bring your face to the New Brookland Tavern for live music from Those Lavender Whales, Can't Kids, Say Brother and an after-party hosted by Columbia's one and only SINDOOLAH. Doors are at 8 pm. It costs $10 to get in. And bring something tasty and eatable to share with everyone. Fork and Spoon's monthly potluck will be going down on the back patio.
On September 30th your ears will be tingling (the good kind) from the sounds of Teen Suicide, The Choir Quit, Coma Cinema, and an out of control after-party to the tune of a Toro Y Moi DJ set. This is the night we all realize that there probably won't be another huge Bluetile birthday/anniversary part for another five or ten years because “11 Years of Bluetile” doesn't have the same monumental ring to it. It is then that you will smile and sigh and think “wow, I am really glad I attended this weekend of festivities to partake in an event that may be the best thing that has ever happened in my life since I am unable to remember the moment when I was born.” Doors are at 7 pm. It also costs $10 to get in.
All the while, there will be tons of skate stuff giveaways from tons of companies, a bunch of skate videos being projected on the wall, and a whole lot of love. We yearn for your presence. Join us!
